Hi, I’m. . .
Vuk Radisic Visnjic
About
Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome!
With a passion for democracy, open governance, and human rights, I’m all about connecting with different people.
I’m currently exploring Europe, whilst bettering my Spanish, and learning Portuguese. I also grew up bilingual, with English and Serbo-Croatian being my native languages. So if you see me, feel free to say, ćao or howdy, or holi or bom dia!
I grew up in a few places in Belgrade, Serbia, but alwasy in a multicultural home that was just as likely to be playing the Ramones, West Wing, CNN, or the local news as it was to be watching golden era Hollywood films or listening to traditional Portuguese fado music. I gave a TEDxYouth talk in 2012 and organised a Tweetup for foster families and kids from Milosevac in that same year. In 2015, I helped garner public support for Serbia’s Zoja’s Act, an law which gave more rights to individuals suffering from genetic disorders and/or rare diseases and ensured that these kids were diagnosed and treated on time.
My mission is to leave every place better than I had found it, both in Serbia and in the EU. I’m always on the lookout for those who are also trying to understand the world better and create a brighter, bolder, and more diverse world!

My Thoughts
I write with less frequency than I’d like to. But when I do, it’s usually about art, politics, social issues or travel.
I’m So Happy to Announce. . .
Please press play. Slouching in a chair in our part-garden, part-construction-lot front yard, I’ve spent the last few days trying to write the opening lines of a perfectly marketable blog post. I have thought of and promptly disregarded the most common of the LinkedIn...
Celebrate
Please press play. "These are the moments that make life worth living." - Death Becomes Her (1992) In the midst of, well, everything happening everywhere all at once, I slowed down this weekend to celebrate. Last Monday morning, I had a sore throat, not enough sleep,...
Rise of the Puppet: Why We Should Fear the Architects Behind Donald Trump’s Brand of Fascism More Than We Fear Him
I was sitting on the porch of my family’s home, a field/forest/residential area sorts of place on the outskirts of the town, in the midst of writing a completely different blog post last week, when I found myself stumbling, as I often do, into a completely different...

Like most of my generation, I prefer email, text messaging, and IM for communicating. Unlike most of my generation, I am not always on my phone or other digital device, so please be patient if I don’t respond right away. Also, send memes!
